Rural school conference to be held in Vidalia

County superintendents of education and boards of education from seven counties join state officials for an all day rural school problems conference in Vidalia on Saturday January 29. The event runs ten until four at City Hall with discussions on public and high school work and round-table sessions open to the public.

Potatoes yield about two gallons of syrup per 56 pounds with 17 percent protein pulp. Scientists to attend Rotary luncheon Thursday to sample the syrup.

Thompson admits killing Wilcox in Oconee River search

Vidalia Girl Scouts Plan Tag Day Saturday

The local Girl Scout troop will conduct Tag Day on Saturday to raise funds for furnishing the Scout hut room and to surpass the boys record of 186 dollars. Volunteers will canvass homes offices and businesses urging donations and friendly greetings.

He was about 45, son of John G Williamson, with two brothers W J and Luther Williamson and sister Mrs J S Jenkins in Vidalia. Funeral Friday at 11 at his home. Frank Wiggs left Monday for Harrisburg Pennsylvania to attend a six week course in the factory of the Wales Adding Machine Co. After completing the course he will travel for the company as an expert in repairing and adjusting their machines.
