Ermon Ivy, 18, charged by indictment with murder in the death of 12 year old Johnnie Walker, set for trial at Crowell on September 26. Judge James V. Leak granted a change of venue due to crowded docket. Walker was struck in the hand with a garden hoe and died after a week in a coma. The grand jury returned the indictment.

At a City Commission meeting Tuesday the resignation of O. I Ashenhurst from the Vernon city school board was accepted and O. K. Storey was appointed to the seat. Ashenhurst will leave Vernon soon after resigning as Kell Milling Company manager to pursue new business. County Fair to Feature Record Attractions Opening Week

Wilbarger County Fair opens Wednesday with the widest range of attractions in county history. Malph Vector of Portland Oregon traveled to Vernon yesterday with friends on an alleged evil mission. Mr and Mrs B D Rector and son Ralph were among the first settlers in this part of the county. Rector was the second post namler in the county and the office was established at Worsham Springs near the present site of Ellrest. The two families moved from Witharger county years ago to TF Zon.
