BK. G. Rogers 50 ends his life at his brother in law and sister IL L McWater home northeast of Oklaunion by shooting himself in the head with a twelve gauge shotgun. The body of Mr. Rogers, long in poor health, is found at his sister’s residence after a morning spent in his room. An inquest at Vernon, led by Justice T. d. Griffiths, concluded the death was a self inflicted gunshot wound. Funeral services are set for tomorrow at 3 PM from Underwood funeral home with East View cemetery burial.

The Parent-Teachers groups at Vernon High and three ward schools plan a two night trade carnival in the old high school auditorium on October 10 and 11. Local business houses are to be represented by Vernon young women in suitable costumes with music and readings by top local talent. Over 100 participants will entertain. Proceeds fund ward grounds upgrades playground equipment and a plane for the new school auditorium. Admission 35 and 25 cents.
