Man Narrowly Escapes Death At North Main Carnival
Spell barely survived a carnival attack on North Main Street when an unknown assailant cut the threat and vanished into the crowd. Vernon invites residents to tour the new high school on Yumgairika Street Friday evening from 7 to 9. A short program by the high school band and girls glee club will begin around 7.30 in the auditorium, with tours of the building to follow until 10. Patrons may visit at their convenience. parking is available. The school has been in use nearly a month as staff finalize arrangements and equipment. Superintendent W. T. Robinson, sues Dixon Dry Goods Company J A Dixon and O A Swinburn in district court seeking 50000 damages for the death of her husband J J Robinson on March 8 1902 caused by a brick being thrown through a store window after dynamite used in clearing a foundation exploded. The suit claims negligence and careless handling of dynamite. Dixon denies responsibility citing Swinburn as contractor and claimant as agent of Dixon Dry Goods Company or its contractor.
