A large barn on Otto Obenhaus' Vernon area farm eight miles southwest of Vernon was burned Thursday night likely from lightning. Insurance was minimal and almost nothing was saved. Obenhaus plans to rebuild soon.

Alvin Tireft acquires an 820 acre farm on the Braves river near Monday in Knox county and plans to move by January 1 1920. Mr Trott and his family returned from Knox county after days of closing the deal. Tireft recently sold a home three miles west of Vernon for 150 per acre and bought the Knox county property at 40 per acre. He also bought a small place south of town from M G Neathery for 76 25 per acre.

New York parties closed a $2,000,000 sale of Burk Waggoner stock three weeks after earlier trades. Morton of Bartlesville sought deposit funding and wiring, while bankers from Chase and First National Bank of Wichita Falls facilitated the transaction. The Burk Waggoner company, organized in November, held about 60,000 shares capitalized at 60,000.
