Vernon Women Organize Ella Oil Company
The women of Vernon formed the Ella Oil Company after meeting at Mrs. W. H. Huggins home. They purchased land four miles northeast of Iowa Park near the Copeland test well and elected Mrs. D. H. Henry president and Mrs. Paul Goetze secretary. Directors include Mrs. J. H. Watts Mrs. W. H. Huggins Mrs. B. D. Hockersmith and Mrs. J. W. Wheatley.
