Harrold Boys Win County Basketball Title Versus Vernon

Harrold High School clinched Wilbarger County’s boys basketball pennant with a late 11 to 10 victory over Vernon at the new fairground court. Linchehow refereed from Frederick, Okla, as Harrold’s J. Covey led the team with a string of recent wins and anticipation of a strong district run. Vernon’s lineup included Walkes, Hollar, Veawman, Thomas, and Gorechfield, with support from Bourlend, Baker, and Roberts. The crowd packed the court, creating a lively, noisy scene throughout the tense game.

Park donors gift four bean fires for new area

Funeral services for Jom PB Cooper HS who died Wednesday morning were held at First Baptist with a large attendance. He was born in Somerset Kentucky and moved to Texas at age young.
