Six cars derailed on Denver train near Vernon
A Denver passenger train derailed about 1 PM three miles west of Vernon near the Pease River bridge. Six cars left the track, four Pullmans rolled over. Four people were seriously injured, including Pauls Valley siblings Mrs. R McConnell and Fraok Turner. Cause suspected broken rail. engine and six cars passed safely. Injured were taken to Vernon physicians. other cars were being dead headed to Fort Worth.
