Man Charged With Selling Whiskey Jailed After Raid
Officers raided a house at Pannin and Paradise streets around ten o clock last night and arrested P. Brumler on a charge of selling intoxicating liquor. Brumler was held in the county jail after allegedly selling whiskey to a party. a search warrant was obtained after entry was refused. A small amount of whiskey was found in the residence.

Vernon Man M F Hardison Dies After Long Illness
M F Hardison 67 longtime Vernon resident died at his home following a three month illness. Funeral services were held at the family residence on Cumberland Street with Dr. Robert H. Hickenson officiating. Interment was in East View Cemetery. He was born August 28 1856 in Berlin Vermont and moved with his wife Evy Harriss to this county in 1906. Survived by six sons and four daughters including Farris John Tom Claude Chiley and Ben. daughters Mrs J W Ebb Mrs R A Ashley Mrs J S Snugges and Miss Sallie Hardison. The family farmed near Odell and east of Vernon before settling in town. The last years have seen continued illness. Wall hearers included Hugh Thompson Jim Armstrong Adgin Douwes Paul Castleberry C D Greene and Joe Parker.

Road north of Harrold gets contract for nine to ten miles
