Mrs. Jennie Pendleton Dies After Illness at 34
Mrs. Jennie Pendleton wife of Ed L Pendleton of this city died last night at 11 45 following several weeks illness. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 30 from the Central Christian church of which she was a member. Interment at West View Cemetery. She is survived by her husband a daughter Frances her mother Mrs W C Sanders a brother W P Moore and a sister Mrs W K Griffin all of Fort Worth. She formerly was Miss Jennie May Moore of Madison County Kentucky and moved to Texas years ago. She was married December 4 1912 at Fort Worth and they had one child Frances Moore. Most of Pendleton’s married life was spent in Vernon where she joined Central Christian. She was active in church work and benevolences and devoted to club work.

Mrs A J Wheelis 73 was fatally injured Sunday night at 7 80 when struck by a Wichita Falls driven automobile on Wilbarger Tree. She died about thirty minutes after, crossing from the Griffin home to accompany neighbors to church. Wheelis hurled about twenty feet. left arm broken. face and chest crushed. Driver J B Findley assisted at the scene. no charges filed. Funeral today at First Baptist Church. interment East View Cemetery. Survived by nine children including Mrs R L R Griffin and J C Wheelis.

Three Die In Auto Crash Near Sipe Springs
Miss Ruth Westbrook 10 of Sipe Springs and Miss Mary Ashenhurst 40 and Byron Anderson 17, all of Sipe Springs, died Friday night when a car driven by Ashenhurst slipped off a high embankment between Sipe Springs and De Leon. The group was en route to De Leon for an interscholastic meet. Anderson was to debate. Westbrook, daughter of Dr and Mrs W J Westbrook, leaves parents and two sisters. Ashenhurst had been postmaster at Sipe Springs. Funerals were held Sunday at the Sipe Springs cemetery. Mr and Mrs Vernon left Friday night for Sipe Springs after messages.

Sunday schools show a steady rise over the past two Sundays with March 28 attendance just over 100 higher than the prior Sunday and last Sunday topping 1,006 present. March totals amount to 4,475 attendees and $251.03 in collection, averaging 5.04 cents per person.

White Rose Cafe Reopens After Repairs and Updates
