Vernal society circles report a going away party at Elsie Sannes home for Camel Club members bound for college. Vena Singleton birthday honored with games and hot supper. Vernal City to Issue Waterworks Bond Series of 1940
Vernal City in Uintah County Utah proceeds to issue fifty thousand dollar Waterworks Bonds Series of October 1 1940 to fund increasing improving extending and adding to the water supply and waterworks system. The ordinance authorizes a tax levy and sinking fund, highlig hting bond terms, interest at 3 4 percent, and par sale to State Land Board at par plus accrued interest. The ordinance calls for annual interest payments and a repayment plan with bonds numbered 1 through 50 and coupons bearing facsimile signatures of the city treasurer. The measure invokes emergency clause for immediate effect.
