The Vernal U S Land Office records show 1930 valid homestead entries as of September 1 1919 with 60 additional entries. patents issued for 32903 18 acres 04 entries with 13980 12 acres final certificates issued but no patents. final proof submitted for 1637 entries covering 22687667 acres. The total for all 1990 entries reaches 27978765 acres. Charles DeMoisy compiled the figures. The data compare with Achley valley acreage to illustrate Uintah land extent and taxable land under Ashley Valley irrigation.
