Standard Oil and Pacific Northwest Pipeline Plan Review
Washington reports on a bipartisan push to authorize FCC booster stations for TV. Senator Frank de Moss of Utah lauds a favorable committee vote, noting boosters could extend service to 80 percent of Utah and reduce costs. Separate provisions would waive construction permits and allow operation without constant licensed oversight. A multi million dollar contract would push Red Wash gas lateral development into Uintah County, with gas from Red Wash and nearby wells feeding a Pacific Northwest line and a Standard Oil extraction plant at North Salt Lake, subject to federal approval and pricing standards.
