Deseret News reports surviving members of the Lot Smith company Utah cavalry are eligible for Grand Army of the Republic membership. A court of inquiry found Crismon and Hullinger were members, sworn in 1862 to protect government property, discharged 1862, paid as US soldiers, and neither bore arms against the United States.

Uintah Basin 10 Celebrate Grand Basin Event in Myton and Vernal
