U S Plans Major Rubber Purchase Amid Shortage
The United States will buy 145000 long tons of natural rubber from France and Holland at about 2.5 cents a pound in the second half of the year, as part of a program to stabilize prices and ease rising costs for domestic manufacturers. The move, via the Rubber Development Corporation, targets continuing supply shortages and high production costs, with Britain also seeking stability in Malayan raw rubber markets.

Veterans May Get Free Dental Care In Own Towns
Utah veterans with service connected dental disabilities may choose private dentists in their communities when VA dental clinic service is not feasibly available. The program requires VA authority and only covers service connected dental cases. A veteran must file a VA claim to establish service connection before any dental work is authorized, after which VA covers care for life.
