Currant Creek service station owner slain in defense claim
Edison Ricord, a Wasatch county youth, is held on suspicion of fatally shooting Jack Sweat, 55, operator of the Currant Creek service station, in what the sheriff says was defense of Ricord’s mother during a family dispute. An inquest ruled Sweat died from a .303 rifle fired by Ricord. Ricord testified his stepfather choked his mother after drinking. Funeral services for Sweat were held in Heber City, burial in Park City.

Funeral Services Held at Ashley For Hunt Victim
