Mrs Grace Morgan Dies in Craig on Tuesday
Word comes that Mrs Grace Morgan wife of Thos Morgan of the famous K ranch died Tuesday at 4 am at her daughter Mrs Claude Boyd Craig Cole home. She had ill health for over a year and is survived by her husband son Pierre Morgan daughter Mrs Boyd and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in Craig on Friday. She was widely known in Ashley valley where many friends will mourn her passing.

Eva Fern Rasmussen Babcock 29 wife of Reed Babcock died Friday after childbirth from infection. Born November 24 1905 in Provo to Jacob and Sarah Howell Rasmussen she lived in Nephi Mant Fairview before Lapoint. Active LDS church worker and Uintah Academy graduate survived by husband her parents four children and many relatives. Funeral at Lapoint chapel Monday with speakers praising her faith and motherhood followed by burial at nearby cemetery. Relatives attended from Provo Salt Lake Fairview Manti Nephi Roosevelt and other towns.

Colorado highway crew led by Lom Ledgerwood completed seasonal oiling south of Craig last week. About 74 miles of new road were treated from the east county line westward starting July 1, with more reconditioning work from Rabbit Ear’s foot to the county line east of Craig. US 40 accounted for 60 miles of oiling and 14 miles ran from Craig to Hamilton along Highway 13.
