Alma Boren arrested Sept 17 at a ranch near Farm Creek Jeased Doyle and charged with manufacture of liquor. A four-person jury failed to reach a verdict three for acquittal one for conviction. Trial for three co defendants set for Friday November 4 1924.

Midwest Oil Spuds New Deep Test In Rangely Field

On Thursday afternoon W. W. Lewis of Roosavant was arrested for intoxicated driving on the Ver nat road near the High Line canal. John Doe Evans of Altonah also faced drunkenness charges. Bronze Statue For Soldier Memorial Arrives
The bronze Douchhoy statue for the Uintah county Soldier Memorial has arrived and will be stored until the committee mounts it on the base for Armistice Day exercises. The Legion auxiliary committee is securing the final donations to finish the monument and name plates. The cement base is completed and mounting touches are underway. The Program 18 committee plans the greatest patriot event ever held in Uintah Basin.

Four Youths Bound Over On First Degree Murder Charge
Four youths Harris Murray Ernest Trujillo Elnora Van and Nellie Trujillo were bound over for trial on first degree murder in connection with the beating and killing of Thomas Rhoades farm creek rancher. The case was heard after a preliminary hearing and the December district court term was set, with trial jury impaneling to begin December 2. The defendants were held in county jail as proceedings continue.
