A contest over who should be appointed administrator of the Joseph A. Pettit estate proceeds after his murder near Whiterocks. Pettit’s two sisters and a half sister back J. G. Two Crops of Oats On Same Patch At Roosevelt Visit
Albin Birch of Roosevelt visited Vernal the first of the week. He reports two crops of oats grown on the same ground in one season. He cut the second crop just days ago, nearly ready to harvest, and the first crop was also strong. He also raised a fine squash, some over six feet in circumference.

News from Vernal reports attorney John T. Pope sustained serious injuries in a Salt Lake City street car wreck in October. Two ribs were broken and he was listed as recovering as well as could be expected.
