Oil Field Worker Killed in Crash East of Vernal
Albert Stockton 39 of Vernal formerly of Rialto California died in a Sunday morning crash about 18 miles east of Vernal on Highway 40. Stockton, an Olt Base Inc employee, was en route to Vernal when his car left the highway, rolled over and threw him from the wreck. The accident brought Utah’s 1968 traffic toll to 136 in Uintah County. The body was sent to Salt Lake City for funeral arrangements. Stockton had resided in Vernal for three weeks.
