Naples residents will receive culinary water by December 20 under an $85,000 project supplying 123 homes between 5th West and 5th South. Four miles of six inch pipe plus extensions, funded by a $50,000 Farmers Home Administration loan, with connections costing $298 each. The plan includes a public pool site vote and community pool location discussions for Uintah County.

Charles Bartlett Dies at 89 Former Editor of The Vernal Express
Charles Bartlett 89 longtime Ashley Valley resident and former editor of The Vernal Express died in a Salt Lake hospital from a heart ailment. He was born August 27 1869 in Mountain Dell Salt Lake County and moved to Ashley Valley in 1879. Bartlett served LDS Church roles including stake clerk counselor to the stake president and presiding elder of Tridell. He edited The Vernal Express after partners owned it and later remained an editor. Survived by son George W Bartlett seven grandchildren two brothers and three sisters. funeral held at Tridell LDS ward chapel burial in Tridel cemetery.
