Watson Station on the Uintah Railway will open for traffic Sunday November 19 1911 acting as the line's terminus serving Vernal Ft Duchesne Myton Roosevelt and nearby reservation points. The extension aims to improve mine shipping and push the line westward toward Salt Lake City while reducing mule hauls and replacing them with a freight truck for long runs between Dragon and Vernal.
