The Grand Junction federal court tried Ray Jones William Jones known as Uncle Billie David Karren Jr Frank Berry and Shorty Chambers on a conspiracy to intimidate homesteaders charge. Chambers was released for lack of evidence while four defendants were found guilty and leniency requested for Ray Jones. Lee Jones charged as a persistent violator of the liquor law. at his preliminary hearing before Justice Eaton the charge was dismissed and a new charge filed for possessing intoxicating liquor for dispensation and sale. The Price Chamber of Commerce has solicited merchants and others in Price to raise funds to keep the Price-Myton road open for winter travel to and from the Uintah Basin.
