Elaborate Reception Honors Popular Newlyweds

An elaborate reception at the Vernal First Ward chapel Friday honored Mr. and Mrs. Glen Brady, a prominent local couple who wed Wednesday in the Salt Lake LDS temple. The bride Carol Rae Walker wore a white dot sheer gown with peplum waist and keyhole neckline, with a lace-edged veil and orchid bouquet. The tea room featured a Louis XII cloth and a four tiered cake, pink and white decor, and numerous attendants in coordinated attire. Entertainment included vocal and instrumental performances, with attendees from local families and the Brady family active in sheep farming and community affairs.

Vernal Couple Set To Wed On New Year’s Eve

Popular Vernal couple Helen J. Reese and George D. Millecam plan a New Year’s Eve wedding at the St Peyton residence on First West Street. The double ring ceremony will be read by Bishop Phil Walking of Vernal Third Ward. The bride is a dental technician and daughter of Mr and Mrs B B Reese. Lora Stewart Crowned Jensen Harvest Queen

Lora Stewart, a popular Jensen girl, was crowned Harvest Queen at Jensen’s Harvest Ball held in the ward recreation hall. Bee-Hive girls and Scouts organized the event with contestants' depictions and period songs, followed by dancing to the Duvall Orchestra.

Three men entered a Chicago tailor shop and claimed a hold up. They forced Adolph Sugar to undress and took about 60 suits and 60 cents in cash. One suspect wore size 42, another size 48 long, and the third size 36.
