Dinosaur Center Boosts Tourists Amid Road Upgrades
Visitors to Dinosaur National Monument totaled 4 607 in October, lifting ten month 1958 attendance to 164 804. Oscar T Dick chief ranger noted the rise despite the visitor center being under construction this summer. He expects further increases as the new center and exhibits open. Construction is complete in the quarry area except one residence and one apartment due January. Corn Construction Co rebuilt quarry roads and Split Mountain Gorge campground at 163 000. Two Oil Firms Eye Drilling In Uintah County

Trucks Start Phosphate Haul At Brush Creek
Tight trucks began a shuttle service between Vernal and Leefe to haul 5000 tons of phosphate ore to San Francisco Chemical Co mills for a full scale test of commercial production feasibility in Brush Creek. Auto Stolen From Ken Garff Car Sales
Burglars broke into the Ken Garff Sales Inc office at 695 West Main Sunday night and took a 1958 Chevrolet. The thieves installed Iowa plates and drove the car to Reno, where two arrests were made and the case turned over to the FBI for interstate transportation of stolen property.
