Sister of Vernal Pioneer Mother Dies in Salt Lake

Rosetta Jarrell Massey 83 of 76 W 1st North Vernal died Thursday in a Salt Lake City hospital after a long illness. Born May 25 168 in Peach Tree West Virginia she joined the LDS church early and aided missionaries. She moved to Colorado in 1903 then Uintah Basin in 1911 before settling in Salt Lake City in 1922. Survived by two sons two daughters 19 grandchildren 34 great grandchildren two brothers and one sister. Funeral Monday at 2 pm in North Seventeenth Ward with burial in Salt Lake City Cemetery.

Largest Aqua Marine Gem Unearthed in 1810
