Uintah District Schools Reassign Boundaries for Growth
Due to rising enrollments the Uintah Board of Education moves eight classes back to Central School and redraws attendance lines between Central Ashley Elementary Schools. The district, about 4,000 students in 1961 62, expects 4 300 in 1962 63, with crowding in Todd School until new rooms are ready.

Vernal Unit Needs 21000 To Complete Utah Project
Senator Moss told the Senate Public Works Appropriations Committee that 21000 is needed for fiscal year 1963 to finish the Vernal Unit of the Central Utah Project. The Uintah County facility provides irrigation for 14700 acres and 1800 acre-feet for municipal use, plus benefits to fish wildlife and recreation. Construction is about 89 percent complete and 5784835 has been spent. drains and permanent facilities remain.
