Teachers Make Flannel Boards in TRIDELL Community
Primary officers and teachers met Friday at President Isola Haslem’s home to craft flannel boards for classes. Mia Maid hosted a Fireside Chat with Union Seminary leader Mr Hintze as guest. Various members attended leadership events in Vernal and a special dance session. Several noted families hosted gatherings including a birthday party for Sharleen Kitchen. A Sunday school program titled Stars and Stripes Forever raised funds for the building fund.

Fire Side at Merkley Home In Maeser Ward
Mrs Joseph Merkley hosted a fire side at her Maeser Ward home last week with W E Bodily as speaker. Irene Adams and Enid Merkley helped serve lunch to fourteen guests. Sunday night Sacrament meeting speakers included Ray Merkley Gerald Bowden Tarver Christensen Floyd Jones Kenneth Williams Ivan Hall Enid Merkley and Bishop Elmer Linder. Mrs Walt Roper sang a duet with Laura Fox accompanying. Nearby, the Carl A Stevens family from New Mexico moved into the L Larson place.

Angling editor Jagon Lucas of Sports Afield says the key to trout fishing is fly size. For many waters sizes 10 to 12 are most effective, with smaller sizes 14 to 18 useful in clear or pressured spots. Dress flies lightly, trim overdressed patterns, and focus on black white gray and brown hues before experimenting with patterns.

Francke Transferred To Sacramento Airman Joins 964th AES
Robert B Francke son of Dr and Mrs J M Francke of Vernal has reported for duty with the 8th Air Division at MeCaillan Air Force Base Sacramento California. He serves as a radio operator with the 964th Airborne Early Warning and Control Squadron. He entered service on July 15 1954 and transferred from Keesler Air Force Base Mississippi.
