Green River county commission announces notice of establishing the new Vernal Green River highway through the Uintah mountains. FPHA Reimburses Vernal for Emergency Trailer Housing
FPHA will reimburse Vernal up to specified limits for emergency housing costs tied to an aid program. City spent about 20,000 for about 80 trailers and site prep. reimbursements include 7,400 for transport 16,000 for grading utilities and 3,580 for repair and painting. Priesthood Outing Plans Set for Uintah Stake Saturday
Observation of the 117th anniversary of the restoration of the Aastonic priesthood will be held Saturday at Merkleys Park as nearly 5900 priesthood members of the Uintah stake gather for their 18th annual outing. Harold Huilinger chairs the planning with a 1 pm start featuring caramel switched tint, a 4 to 5 pm program, and a 5 to 6 pm barbecue. Harold Lundell named barbecue chef. The program includes trumpet numbers by Burt Johnson, Max Workman, and Bully Siddeway, a cabinet solo by Howard Richardson, and special numbers from Naples Maeser Jensen groups. Committee members are Warren Richardson and J. Ross Merrel.
