Schedule Set for Vernal Garbage Pickups
Vernal garbage duties assigned to Don Fisher a local drayage man on Monday with regular calls in the residences district. City pickups cover Vernal south of Main Street Mondays and north section Tuesdays. Garbage must be in containers plain sight separated wet and dry. Fisher works in the business district and at tourist camps on other days. The two year contract awards Fisher 325 dollars per month and he operates two trucks.

Three Injured In Vernal Area Automobile Crash
Three people were injured in two Vernal area crashes with extensive vehicle damage. Mr and Mrs J Wade Wilkins of Duchesne and Ed Jenkins of Vernal suffered cuts and bruises. Wilkins also had a broken nose and eye injuries. Ed Jenkins drove as two others, Myron Brough of Rendlett, were in a second crash near the Meeser state intersection. Sheriff J W Preece investigated both incidents.
