Electa Caldwell Receives Utah Economic Education Fellowship
Electa J Caldwell an instructor at Uintah High School received a fellowship from the Utah Workshop on Economic Education to be held at Brigham Young University Campus from July 25 to August 12 this year. Billie Untermann Named Uintah County Outstanding Woman
Billie Ruple Untermann is Uintah County’s Outstanding Woman of the Year chosen by the Current Topics Club of Vernal. She will be guest of honor at a tea Friday May 27 at Hotel Vernal from three to five. Untermann, born in Vernal July 29 1908, studied geology and paleontology at the University of California, later co authoring the Dinosaur National Monument bulletin with her husband. She has served as curator, field scientist, and staff scientist at Utah Field House of Natural History, remaining active in regional geology and museum work.
