Jay R. Bingham announced that Daniel Lawrence, a board engineer, is appointed assistant director for the newly created post awaiting board examiners approval. The $7,200 annual salary is set. Lawrence will maintain engineering duties while taking on administrative authority in Bingham’s absence.
Lieutenant Juandell W. Wilson son of George C Webb of 180 South East Vernal is enrolled in primary pilot training at Moore Air Base Texas. Moore Air Base is among civilian schools under contract to the US Air Force to provide the initial 22 weeks of academic and flying instruction to cadets and student officers. A graduate of Rangely High School Rangely Colorado he later attended the University of Maryland. After completion of this training Lieutenant Wilson will be assigned to further duties.
