Ward Day Activities Draw Large Crowds
A highly successful Ward Day was sponsored here Friday by all organizations of the LDS Chain Jensen. A large band attended both afternoon and evening entertainments. A bazaar and fish pond featured the afternoon from 3 30 p m to 5 p m. Square dancing and supper followed. During the meal an interesting program by the Boy Scouts was presented. Dancing continued in the evening with Marie Paulson and Company providing music.

Desperate Prisoner Exchanges Front in Cold War Debate
A letter argues for returning all U S and allied prisoners held by Communists or defectors, warning that breaking sanctuary promises would undermine global freedom and invite more defections. It asserts honor, deterrence, and the risk of another Yalta style loss. It cites tens of thousands of North Korean and Chinese troops crossing lines with leaflets promising asylum. The piece warns that strong resolve to uphold promises may hasten returns and destabilize tyrannical regimes.
