Levi Cyrus Kendall Dies After Heart Attack in Ashley Valley
Levi Cyrus Kendall died Tuesday morning from a heart ailment at his daughter Mrs Vern Olsen’s home. A longtime resident of Ashley Valley for over 40 years, he leaves a large family. Funeral services were held Thursday at 1 pm in the Ward chapel with Bishop Alfred Simper presiding. Interment followed in the Vernal City Cemetery.

An Old Spants Custom presented at Uintah High School auditorium on Friday and Saturday by the music department drew large audiences. Directed by Llosa Winn the production featured dance, choruses, solos, and orchestra with over 80 cast in costume. Stage effects and lighting added charm. young musicians delivered strong performances. Assistants Myles Judt oversaw dramatics, Mars Singleton danced, and Ethellyn Latson handled costumes.

Albert B Roper a Glines ward youth born February 24 1922 in Arcadia Utah died Saturday afternoon from pneumonia He attended Maeser School in the seventh grade and is survived by his parents Argyle and Bylia Snyder Roper and brothers and sisters The funeral services were held Monday at 2 oclock in the ward chapel with Bishop John B Paton presiding The choir and pallbearers led the procession to Maeser cemetery and interment followed The service featured remarks by Ivan Perry and Walter Woolley and was attended by Scouts and deacons The ward chapel was decorated by a flower bearing procession and choir members sang several hymns including Oh My Father and My Father Knows.

Colorado Trapper Nets Seven Mountain Lions Bounty
