Efforts to Increase Hog Raising in Utah Advised
The livestock committee of the Commercial Club plans higher hog production as it arranges the fifth intermountain livestock show in Salt Lake on April 3 4 6 and 7. Reports say over 40000 hogs have been shipped into Salt Lake for slaughter since January 1 mostly from the corn belt. While nearby exhibitors show quality hogs, Utah lacks large scale industry yet. Conditions favor hog raising and development prospects are good, say livestock men.
