A late Saturday night break in at Lapoint Drug Store owned by Peter Harison aided by Spring leaves from a car were used to force the door. A large supply of candy and cigarettes valued around 100 dollars was taken. Sheriff Emery Johnson suspects youthful burglars and vows to capture them.

Herron Sells Texaco Stations Interest to Ratliff
S D Herron transfers his stake in two Texaco Service Stations and oil storage plant south of Vernal on the Victory highway for 1038990 pounds. One station was completed last summer and the new facility opened earlier this month. The stations dispense gasoline and oil trucks deliver from the Texaco Refinery at Craig. Cole gasoline stored at the Vernal plant serves the Basin.
