Utah Senator seeks BLM funds for water development
Utah Senator Wallace F Bennett urged the Bureau of Land Management to provide funds for water development on BLM administered lands in Utah. He noted drought relief programs exist for privately grazed lands and urged use of Soil and Moisture or Range Improvement programs to dig wells and build water structures amid a drought threatening Utah lands. He pressed the State Director to coordinate with the State Water and Power Board and Emergency Water Conservation Committee as the summer outlook remains serious.
