Jay Kay an elderly Vernal painter and poet, once a Dinosaur Quarry worker, spoke with his wife in town for his sister’s Golden Wedding anniversary. He recollected early Quarry days, his marriage in 1908 to Annie Nielsen, and later remarriage to Peggy Ingham in 1988. State supervisor to conduct boating meeting here
Utah State Division of Parks and Recreation promotes Better Boating in Utah with public meetings across the state. In Vernal on Thursday June 9 at 7:30 pm at Vernal High Auditorium Boating Supervisor Todd Tuttle leads an informal session on facility improvements regulation changes and safety practices. A new Better Boater home study course will be introduced with a card upon completion. Local rangers Howard McKowen Gerald Grove and Mike Perry assist. attendees invited.
