Eventa Melee Set For July Fourth Sportsmen Riot

The outdoor event for the year dubbed Sportsmen's Riot will take place at Red camperoum near McKee Drop on July 4. Russell Montgomery, the general chairman, announced a full program with bus service from 3:00 p.m. to reduce transportation gaps. Activities include trap shooting with teams from Vernal Price Roosevelt Heber and others, fish scrambles for children, burro polo, and a motor boat giveaway, with prizes for top finishers. The Vernal Gas and Rise Club and the Junior Chamber of Commerce jointly sponsor the event.

Teenage Canteen Draws Youthful Crowd at Uintah High

A new teen canteen opened at Uintah High School as part of the county recreation program. It features a snack bar, juke box, indoor games, and weekly bingo with contributions from local businesses.
