Oil Executive To Speak At Coif C Dinner In Vernal

J R McWilliams vice president of Carter Oil Company will address the Coif C Dinner at the Vernal Chamber of Commerce annual meeting on Wednesday. Secretary B Frank Ward announced the event. McWilliams brings decades in oil production engineering conservation and operations including work in Montana Wyoming and Colorado. He attended the University of Michigan, served in World War I, and joined Carter Oil in 1934. The speaker’s remarks will cover the subject announced for the event.

Opening of Fishing Set For June 14

The Utah fishing season opens June 1 and closes Oct. 12 in Salt Lake. The Utah Fish and Game Commission set hours of 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a daily bag limit of 12 fish and seven pounds for possession. Details of season closures and revisions will be prescribed later. Concert Organ Installed by Vernal Church

A 4A Hammond electric concert organ was installed this week at the Vernal Congregational Church. The walnut finished instrument, the largest electric organ from Hammond, was purchased for 3900 dollars from Glenn Brothers Music Company in Saittak City. It features two manuals with attachments, multiple preset tones, nine speakers, and is designed for large hall recitals. The first performance will be a nine hour concert at ten o’clock morning by Charles Ne kel, a talented local musician.
