Mary A Gibson Pioneer Dies in Ashley Saturday
Mary A Gibson 83 died Saturday afternoon at her Ashley home after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held in the Ashley ward chapel today under the bishopric. She was born September 11 1851 in East Lake and lived in Rhoades Valley before moving to Ashley. Survived by two daughters Mrs Eccles and Mrs Sowards a son James L Gibson and a Salt Lake City dean who is abroad. Burial will be in Gibson cemetery beside her husband.

Eight Year Old Naples Boy Injured by Loose Horse
Marvin Stevens third son of Mr and Mrs William Stevens of Naples was kicked on the forehead by a horse loose on the Naples school playground. The animal kicked as he and a companion tried to drive it away. The hoof print marks the injury but the blow merely dazed him briefly. First aid by Miss Meda Walker. Will Dudley and Rome Goodrich transported him to Vernal where the wound was dressed. Aside from a severe headache he has no other effects.

Leota Fire Destroys Home. Children Escape Alone
The residence of Wm. Alfred in Randlett burned to the ground Wednesday night. While parents were at Leota, two children and 10 at home heard attic noises and saw a light reflection. They fled a mile and a half to a neighbor for help, but the fire consumed everything. Three years earlier they were burned out at the same place.

Impressive Funeral for Four Victims of Auto Wreck
