Lyman Merkley Vernal City works superintendent says a 250 gallon propane tank at the Unitat County Vernal City sanitary landfill was blown from its concrete enclosure during Wednesday night vandalism. Juveniles fined in destruction case
Four juvenile cases were disposed of Thursday Jan 11 for alleged property destruction. Total fines amount to 275 dollars with 107.50 dollars restitution and probation for three youths. A fourth had minimal involvement and avoided probation. The driver involved was restrained from driving indefinitely and his license taken. A gun was impounded and property included a killed family pet and a damaged pickup tire.
