Gary Holt Joins Vernal Seminary Teaching Staff
Gary Holt is the newest addition to Vernal Seminary’s teaching ranks. He teaches Book of Mormon classes at the Junior Seminary with about 140 students enrolled in his first year. Holt is a native of Enterprise Utah and has served two years in a Central States mission before studying at Dixie College Utah State University and BYU. In June 1984 he married Joyce Hatch of Moreland Idaho at the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They have a son, Michael Howard, noted as Uintah County’s first 1863 baby. the Trolls now reside in Vernal Second Ward.

Jr Rod and Gun Club Holds Its First Meeting Names Officers
Vernal Junior Rod and Gun Club held its first meeting in the county building last week electing Benny Taylor president James Jensen vice president Douglas Robinson secretary Dennis Mott treasurer Alan Sweatfield reporter and Catherine Swett historian.
