Citizens are urged to raise 3400 to defray shipping and crating costs to return fossils from the Carnegie Museum in Pittsburgh to Uintah County's Field Home of Natural History. At a joint meeting of the Chamber of Commerce and Uintah County officials held Tuesday at Hotel Vernal, plans were outlined to straighten and improve the Vernal-Lapoint road. The State Road Commission reported on its December 16 meeting about building a Lapoint south to Highway 40 route, with the state proposing abandonment of the present road and placing maintenance on the county.
