Southern Geophysical opens Vernal offices in Uintah Basin
Southern Geophysical Company of Fort Worth Texas opens Vernal offices on December 22 with 18 crewmen and seven trucks to operate seismographing gear. F L Stacey says the move makes the Uintah Basin the only Texas oil field reach for the company and notes winter winds in Wyoming hinder operations. The team, from Saratoga Wyoming, will use the Uintah State Bank Building office suite once used by Drs Fowler and Fowler. Seismographing uses dynamite blasts to send impulses that are recorded as graphs.
