Lions Attack in Colonel Boone Show Ends in Heroic Rescue
Carlo Thierman, an attendant, was mauled by three trained lions when lights failed at Colonel Boone’s Midwinter Fair arena. Boone rescued him with an iron bar. Thierman later died from his wounds. Also notes severe Saturday storm with drifting snow and late mail in Wasatch region. Debtors warned to settle before March 9 1894.
