Basin Jr College Supported By Chamber Board
The Vernal Chamber Board voted unanimously to back a Basin Junior College bill sponsored by Roosevelt. A Duchesne County delegation urged aid, noting local need as Duchesne and Uintah County students have low college attendance versus state averages. The measure includes a $10,000 study appropriation for a junior college, not construction, with operating costs per student lower than universities.
