Summit County Superintendent of Schools Dies in Snow Slide

The Summit County superintendent of schools, Wilkins, died after being buried by a snow slide near Stewart’s Ranch following a period of illness and disappearance. His body was recovered after extensive search efforts by volunteers from Theodore, Peoa, Kamas, and nearby areas. He leaves a wife and two children. He had served as county superintendent since 1906 and was reelected in 1908 and last November.

Mrs Clarende Nickelson died at the razory home on Tuesday. Her baby was lost the day before and neither mother nor child survived. The widow of J H McCarroll Jr, she was beloved in the community and mourned by many friends. Funeral held Thursday at Pipes Ward Hoge with arrangements by Undertaker Trim. Bishop Calder led services. interment at Vernal elementary.
