Colorado Moffat road tunnel plan sparks Utah effort
Colorado legislators consider a 3 million dollar appropriation to build the Moffat tunnel under James Peak. The Salt Lake Commercial Club backs Utah participation to link Denver and Salt Lake with a transcontinental route via Uintah and Wasatch counties toward Heber City and Park City.

Academy Concert Rescheduled for February 16 at Tabernacle
The Academy concert postponed by bad weather will be given at the Tabernacle on Thursday evening February 16 at 7 oclock. The orchestra is in excellent condition and will perform operatic selections plus a trumpet solo by Prof Net you and a Mozart vocal solo by Mr Beard. Additional pieces include a rhapsody from List and a piano solo by Mr Sansou.
