Buried Friday for Dale Jones in Maeser Ward

Funeral services were held Friday at 1 pm in the Maeser chapel for Dale Jones son of Mr and Mrs Morley Jones who died Wednesday evening of heart trouble. Interment was in Rock Point cemetery with remarks of consolation to bereaved parents. Dale Jones was born November 13 1923 at Leota and is survived by his parents two brothers Elvin and Myron and sister Clella.

Removal funds sought for Jen sen bridge project in Utah

Two Sisters and Brother Pass Away in Ten Months

The obituary notes two sisters and one brother preceded him in death with the second child to pass away in ten months. Vernal Opposition Faces Senate Bill 36 On Transport Regulation

Local opponents from Vernal and interior Utah towns protest Senate Bill 36 to regulate truck and passenger bus services. Abram Coon born in Coalville Utah September 15 1868 came to Ashley Valley in 1877. He invented several mechanical devices advanced to steam engines and punch press. Blizzard Strikes Uintah County Leaving Cattle Dead

Thirty years later reports note eighteen head of cattle perished in the blizzard. The coldest night this winter in Uintah County hit nineteen below zero.
